Checking in to Walker this Spring?
Check-in to Walker Avenue Apartments will take place between January 22nd and January 25th with individually assigned check-in appointment for incoming residents. These check-in times are coordinated for physical distancing throughout the process, which will include COVID-19 testing coordinated by University Health Services and included University ID card distribution where needed.
All students who will be living on campus, are required to complete the Return to Campus COVID Awareness course and sign the Retriever Community Agreement (included at the end of the course) by the first day of classes, January 26th.
Complete UMBC’s online symptom tracker every day, seven days a week beginning 14 days in advance of your move-in date.
Students interested in living at Walker Avenue Apartments for Spring 2021 must complete the UMBC Online Application for housing. Housing assignments for those who have been referred by Residential Life and accepted the Walker Housing Offer will be sent in early January.
Students complete their licensing documents via the UMBC Residential Life housing application website. This web application will retain a copy of your signed license for reference. However, if you would like to quickly review the terms of a sample license document for Walker, please feel free to download a sample copy of the current 2020-2021 license using the link below:

Students anticipating a Financial Aid or Scholarship refund can defer some or all of their semester license fee by submitting a Financial Aid/Scholarship Payment Plan Addendum. The form must be completed by the listed deadline EACH semester:
Students who would like to pay on an installment basis, rather than once at the beginning of each semester, should fill out the Installment Plan License Addendum found below. This form shows the dates and amounts that are due based on the type and term of the license for 2020-2021:

Maryland Law requires all students living in on-campus housing to show proof of having had the meningitis vaccine or to sign a waiver that (s)he is aware that the vaccine is available, knows its benefits and has elected not to have the vaccination. The form below will be required upon check-in if University Health Services does not show your proof of having the meningitis vaccination on-file by the time of your check-in to Walker:
